You can reduce your risk of cancer, heart disease, stroke, and chronic lung disease; you can save enough money to buy yourself a new vehicle or take an exotic vacation; you can breathe deeply and not cough; you can enjoy a drink with friends and not have to excuse yourself to stand in the blistering heat, frigid cold, or driving rain to smoke.  There are a million reasons to quit smoking.  But you don’t need another reason: you need a solution.  For many people, cold turkey is not an option.  Thousands of smokers are finding a gradual approach using Ecigs is helping them kick the habit – and keep it kicked. 

There is a lot of confusion around electronic cigarettes: some manufacturers claim they are healthy.  Are they?  Water is healthy, organic vegetables are healthy: a vapor cigarette is healthier.  You wouldn’t want to pass these out to your children at the dinner table and encourage smoking.  That is not what they are intended for.  Instead, they are meant for smokers as a replacement for tobacco products.  They are very much a healthier alternative for smokers because they lack the tar and the 4000 chemicals (50 of which are known carcinogens) that are included in each traditional smoke. 

Smokeless cigs do contain nicotine.  In small doses, nicotine raises blood pressure, and the biggest issue smokers find is that it is very addictive.  So while electronic cigarettes are a healthier solution for smokers, it is far healthier still to quit smoking altogether.  This is the hard part for millions who struggle with addiction.  While most people start smoking because they enjoy it, it transforms into a need.  Even if you do not want a cigarette, you crave your fix.  This can be an immensely difficult thing to deal with, especially at work, in restaurants, and other nonsmoking places.

In addition to the nicotine itself, many smokers are addicted to, or at least accustomed to, smoking in specific places.  When driving, for instance, many people automatically reach for a smoke.  You associate different situations and times with smoking, and it can be difficult to break these associations.  The advantage of an electronic cigarette is that you can have the same physical experience and hit of nicotine.  Gum and patches may work, but they do not offer the physical component.  You can start with a higher level of nicotine and gradually wean yourself down.  Eventually, you can have a zero nicotine level, and you won’t be craving it any longer.

If you can’t quit cold turkey, you are like millions of other people across the country.  Smoking is addictive: it is one of the toughest drugs to quit. But that doesn’t mean it is impossible.  You have to know what will work for you, and for many people, it is Ecigs.  Have the physical and psychological fix you need until you work your way to not needing it at all.  A healthier alternative to smoking, and certainly a healthier approach to life.
